At Athlete Ally, our mission is to help every athlete act as an ally and ensure every LGBTQIA+ person is welcome and safe in sports.
We need your support now more than ever.
Over the next 4 years we will work to:
SUPPORT: We will support those athletes who are feeling the fears and uncertainties of the future most acutely through mentorship and peer-to-peer support both virtually and in person. This will foster safety and give everyone who needs to be in the fight the tools to show up as their full selves.
EXPAND: We will extend our network of over 31 Athlete Ally Campus Chapters to 50+. This will enable Athlete Ally to have a direct presence in every state where solidarity will be most needed. Lead: Develop and train athletes at every Campus Chapter and within our 400+ professional Athlete Ambassador network to have hard conversations with peers to foster vulnerability and find common ground.
PLAY: Use play as a way to build community, connection and belonging. This will help every friend, athlete, supporter, and fan of Athlete Ally learn resilience through recreation. We will use play to keep our community operating from a place of joy, safety, and abundance - no matter what.
ORGANIZE: We will create a multi-year plan for how we unify allies, queer athletes, and institutions to build the world’s biggest team to bring about a future version of sport, and society, that welcomes and empowers all people.
